The challenge Citigroup
Private Bank has 120 offices in 30 countries
where their professionals
offer personalized wealth management services
to 25,000 high net worth individuals. A group
of 58 Balanced, Equity and Fixed Income Portfolios
are among the products offered to these clients.
Each quarter, Citigroup was faced with the labor
intensive task of updating and publishing the
performance of these products through printed
books and web posting. The challenge which Data
Communiqué undertook on behalf of Citigroup
was to reduce the time required to publish this
information and to reduce cost of the process
while at the same time insuring the consistency
and accuracy of the information.
The solution Data Communiqué customized
our web-based Docubuilder™ Automated Publishing
system to accept regular Performance, Sector
Allocation and Top Holdings Data uploads from
the Citigroup's fund accounting system. A Citigroup
Customized web interface was programmed and output
templates were created by DCI to allow Citigroup's
staff the ability to edit information such as
Product Description, Objectives, Risks, Strategy,
Investment Managers and Legal Disclosures to
reflect marketing and compliance requirements
in their quarterly Fund Profile Books and Cards.
The results Citigroup now has
Profile Books approved for print and web posting
within seven days of the
closing of each reporting period. DCI provides
web-ready files to Citigroup for their web site
while also printing and distributing four versions
of their book to 120 locations in North America,
Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. The entire
process is completed in 14 days with two people.
This represents a 50% reduction staff and time
requirements while improving the accuracy and
consistency of the information.
